When it comes to the use of cellphones and other electronic devices while behind the wheel, many people say they are worried about the dangers posed by multitasking drivers. At the same time, they say they believe they can handle the same distractions without endangering others.
One thing that I like about GPS devices is the ability to tell it to not use the freeways, living in Seattle the freeway is, well, crowded. Unfortunately there is no way to tell Google Maps App on the iPhone to avoid freeway use, or so I thought.
With the addition of transit and walking routes to the app, now you can find the route with no freeway. Just do the regular directions, and then select ‘walking’ now there should be no more freeway directions.
